The shadows of the past always tarnish the present. Marie embarks on a journey to investigate her unknown childhood, returning to the abandoned Russian farm where she was born. Drawn to this location after inheriting it from her long deceased mother, she encounters things far more disconcerting that lurk within those rotting walls... and a nightmarish family secret as the past unearths itself.

Very good movie. A reason I don't like the oscars is that they tend to Nomminate movies that are dramatic and not usually horror. Horror movies are amazing. some may not seem great but look at this. The Blair Witch Project's acting was incrediabal but they were not nominated. It made me upset. I also dont like how horror movies have AMAZING make-up and costumes but are rarely nominated. The Ring's make-up, for example was incredibal but was never nominated.

If you want a movie with a little bit of character development and storytelling, and a creepy atmosphere, then I recommend this movie. But if you're more into cheap scare, nonsensical and excessive use of blood and guts, then stay away from this one.

ok has anybody else noticed that only seven of the movies are premiered...i even watched the trailer for all eight and they only showed seven on their list too...wtf where is the eighth...they got penny dreadful, the hamiltons/abandoned/gravedancers, reincarnation, unrest, and dark ride...that makes seven...where is the eighth?

All of the 'Horror Films To Die For' are crap. They spend the budget on the boxart. They play like student project films. They suck.
