I adore Rita ...( 11 months ago by jillianryan)
I adore Rita Hayworth. A funny story about this scene Janet Blair wanted to outshine Rita so while filming she began dancing herself to utter exhaustion. The director had to keep cutting because the tension kept building. Rita was a fighter just not physical yet it was obvious Rita was getting frustrated. The choreographer noticed in Rita's body language that she was close to punching Janet in the face. Yet to avoid a fight, the director managed to get in one more take and he wound up using it.

poor Janet Blair ...( 9 months ago by oentschi)
poor Janet Blair with the yellow apple hairdo - she has the difficult task to be compared with LA HAYWORTH - sorry Janet, but almost every woman would have lost against the red bombshell including Lana Turner and Betty Grable...

Why don't you ...( 6 months ago by StephenCardinale)
Why don't you properly attribute this story to the orginal source who provided the 1st hand account: Jack Cole, the choreographer, as told to John Kobal, author of Rita Hayworth: The Time, The Place, The Woman. You're a plagiarist! Tired ole twat!
