Wow...I was a HUGE fan of the Baseball Bunch back in the day (mainly because of the Chicken). I was 9 when the "Pine Tar" incident occurred, and I remember it well. This SKIT, though, is pretty cutting edge for a "kids" show. This same skit could've been done just as eaily on SNL at the time. I "got it" THEN, but seeing this NOW, just trips me out.

I think they changed the rules based on that incident. I believe that the opposing team has to say something before the at-bat now. If the Pine Tar incident happened today exactly as it had back then, it would be ruled a homerun.
