very solid performance. how recent is this? i've loved Grante for years and years, i wish he would put out a dvd, i wish he'd give a concert in new york city, i wish he'd put out more compact discs... if you haven't heard his Godowsky Passacaglia (on Music & Arts) you absolutely MUST (RIGHT NOW) -- this is what made me buy all his other recordings.

The fact that he can play this is amazing; however, he bangs the keys and there isn't much to his phrasing. I've heard much better.
