....This was after he left the Ants by the way. I'd love to know what he is doing now hopefully something creative and worthwhile. I played drums in the band but left when we ended up merely rehearsing and not playing live. Nenah Cherry and her Dad Don spent some time with us and Don was good fun. Funnily enough Kenny Morris on drums was in the year above me at my school. Actually so did Richard Driscoll (the bump) and Kev Savigar (Rod Stewart).Jesuit teachings eh? Brings out the best lol.

That is so cool. It must have been amazing. I would have given anything to see that. I got to see him twice in Australia (and have never quite recovered). You must have some great stories. Tell, tell, tell!!! Adam is divine. Am still desperately in love with him since 1980.

Sorry to disappoint you young fella me lad but there really isn't anything cool or amazing in being in a band regardless who it is. At first, sure, it's like yeah wow fantastic but after a while it's just like a regular day job. Add the odd touch of ego and endless rehersal and winging about everything after a while it gets somewhat boring. This goes for the any band from your local garage band to I don't know probably the Rolling Stones. It's fun for sure but not what it's cracked up to be.

Is saw Adam Ant and Billy Idol back in 1981 or 1982 I believe it was have to dig my ticketstub and I aslo have 2 tee-shirts form that concert. I was 8 or 9. It was at Nassau Collesium on Valentines Day..I think ti was 1982 because I had seen concert footage of the Japn Tour and I think that was in 1981..Whatever..The Concert was called the Valentines Day Massacre..I practically ahd to go on a hunger strike to get my dad to tak emy best friend and I but tke us he did and we went wild. AWESOME!

Anybody else go, or know where I can find footage of that concert. I have been trying to find some everywhere!!! I had great seats on the aisle. If I remember correctly it was general admission.. My parents are very button down though open minded but this "music" as they called it was bizzare but they let me have my fill of it :) PARTY ON!

I'd love to hear your stories. Speaking from my own experience from drumming between Philly and NY for a good part of the 80's and early 90's, it can be a drag. Plenty of fun, but certainly not a perpetual flow of euphoria.

This version of the band was heavily influenced by the Sex Pistols. Adam played bass for a band called Bazooka Joe. They headlined the Pistol's very first gig. That gig inspired Adam to start his own band as a singer. The rest is history.
There isn't a band out there today that can touch the Ants!
