I think that Hollywood is the most depressing place... The legendary Joan Crawford towards the end of her acting career.
Joan was a fabulous actress. No matter what happened in her private life, nobody can deny that. I actually happen to believe that what Christina says is grossly exaggerated. She'd obviously had a huge fall out with her mother prior to her death, which the will suggests at the end. Joan provided al
l her children with a privileged upbringing, which without her status they would never have had. Christina hardly had much success in her acting career, besides Barefoot In The Park "and a few other beautiful things that she's very good at" (according to Joan) and was desperate for her 15 minutes of
fame. Joan's name will sadly be tinged with her daughter's legacy for a long time, but people must remember all the positive things she achieved. I have to say in Mommie Dearest I side with Joan! NO WIRE HANGERS EVER.
