You did see Ronald Mcdonald running away, it happens at :30. The main point of this movie was to poke fun at movies such as Star Wars and Star Trek and poke fun at all the 80's as well. Since Mcdonalds was the big thing it was back in the 80's what better way to make a joke about it than use their star.
