Agreed, one of their best songs, hauntingly great. Sonny learned quite a lot at Phil Spector's studio and he copied the Wall of Sound perfectly for that song. Thanks for the clip, never even knew that a show called "Shivaree" existed.

Sonny and Jack Nitzsche were Phil Spector's 2 Lieutenants that oversaw all the arrangement duties of songs he composed back in the days of the "Wrecking Crew" who provided musical back grounds to those songs. Cher was one of the Crew along with Glen Campbell, Carol Kaye, Leon Russell, Mac Rebennack (aka Dr. John), and Hal Blaine.

Har Har Har! Check out the keyboard player that appears over Sonny's shoulder at the 45 second point. He probably wasn't aware of the fact that his hands were clearly visible on camera, so he didn't even try to make it look like his fingers were doing anything that even remotely related to the music!

It's funny that you say this is one of his worst performances, because although I know most people don't like Sonny's voice, I always loved how he sounded in this song. Ah well, I think I've just sort of developed a love for Sonny's voice somewhere along the way, lol. This was awesome, they both look so cute! Thanks!
