that waz horrible. no the video, but the anime. i knew it had blood, but abusing a puppy, adn killing it, never seen in in any anime before, and this song is about emo's. i thought i would like this anime..but..nevermind. XC

the anime doesn't only contain gore and violence there is a really sad story behind all the killing it's one of my favorite animes and it's really worth watching and i don't think the song is about emos when the song was made there were no emos yet or am i wrong? o.o

okay you're right xD the anime is mainly about a girl calleD Lucy she's a "dyclonius" these are horned people they can use some sort invisible arms i don't want to spoil the story so i won't tell you every detail xD at the beginning you don't know anything about the past of the main characters

You know, not only emos cut themselves =/. I saw the video too, and there's only one part where someone cuts themself. By my perspective, the song seems to be more about getting over a drug addiction.
And the anime is about these things called "diclonious." They're basically the next evolution of humans. They have two horns and invisible arms called "vectors." To put it briefly, the show focuses around the first Diclonious, an 18-year-old girl named Lucy and her split personality, Nyuu c:.

They want to hurt her. To them, hurting the poor puppy is way more affective than hurting Lucy herself. Lucy hardly showed any emotion and the boys wanted to see her upset.

yeah there is an episode 14 of elfen lied, it basically explains what happend in lucys past before she got captured and locked away in the underground facility. hope that helps XD
