they the only ones that have been out there?????? what about the regiments that supplied the troops to form them..??? who also formed the original SAS, who supplied the men trained for the limpet mines operation in norway during ww2 which won the marines a date they still celebrate now, dont get confused with words like commando and trooper, remember the guardsmen who are the back bone of both their regiments.

i dont think so mate. every para or royal has been a para or royal from day 1. when they signed on the dotted line in the careers office they have been counted as a member of either the parachute regiment or the royal marines. yeh sure hats can go on to do p-company or the all arms commando course, but that doesnt make them a para or royal. what you are talking about was a long tome ago.

i thought all armies have a backbone of the regulars, the infantry of course. i thought most of the british army troops were the fuckin infantry, not the paras or royals. and i didn't know that the royals are part of the navy. is it true that the paras and the marines have been going to central iraq, using american equipment, vehicles, guns, the whole shebang and doing top secret operations alongside the sas and sbs?
