Did you ever realise what a nasty stuff Salicyl-acid is? I have been using a little to remove a small wart, and I keep being amazed how it will bubble up after time, it's like really acidic!

I tried it years ago and it was a waste of time, ended up getting my swiss army knife out and cutting the bugger out - by god did it bleed out but it was gone!
The next time I got a wart they did the liquid nitrogen method and it worked like a charm :)

Salicylic acid works great if you know how to use it and understand how it works. You don't put it on once and the wart is gone. You need to put a drop (or multiple drops depending on the size of the wart) on the wart daily. (should be two or three times) This will take 1, 2 , maybe 3 months depending on the size of the wart. I used it on one I had on a finger (just a small BB sized one) and it was gone in less than a month. Currently have one on my other hand now. Going to get more "Tinamed."

Yeah my mom babysits kids and one of them had 6 - 8 small warts on his one foot. His mom always had it covered with duct tape. And they were gone in a month. And she is a nurse. So yeah. I think anything that covers them kills them.

That's the thing - it takes such a long time compared to getting it removed with liquid nitrogen. I used compound w for ages and the wart just kept coming back even with multiple applications over a period of weeks (from what I remember). Obviously, YMMV but liquid nitrogen would be my recommendation.

Not sure about the brand Compound W, I personally have used Tinamed. I didn't even use it a full month but the wart died and fell off. Like I said I guess it depends on the size of the wart. Compound W or any salicylic acid may only work on small warts.

No what it is there is a virus already in your skin, called Human Papilloma Virus (I'm not sure on the spelling). And if there is a break in your skin this caused the virus in your foot (Hand, where ever the wart is) to emerge onto your foot. But they also spread in water. I think the first part is correct actually...

I had a wart on my knuckle, elbow and two on my feet. I tried an acid from the pharmacy but didn't seem to take care of it or maybe I was too impatient. But, I took a spoon, set it on my stove over a flame, picked it up with pliers, and burned the warts on my knuckle and elbow off. They never came back so I used a red-hot screwdriver for those on my foot months ago. They are also gone. The virus resides in the healthy tissue surrounding the wart. Destroy that and you free yourself of them.

i had a big wart to in the figer. what i did was i covered it with scotch tape and let it for 1 week. it makes the wart soft. now its gone.
