I cried for joy when Howard made that catch. I was 8 and had seen ND beat us three times in close games, they seemed to always come back, not that day!

I hear you on that. Those 3 games against them the 3 previous years were some of the most painful close losses UM has ever experienced.

The best part about that Desmond Howard catch was that it was 4th down and 1. You would never have guessed a Michigan team would have passed the ball in that situation. Great throw, great catch. Classic.

I remember, i was 8 years old and the second he made the catch I ran out into the back yard and tried to replicate "The Catch" by throwing the ball to myself. Ah the folly of youth. Later I got my dad to actually throw the ball to me. One of the best memories of my life so far.

I was at this game - it was insane. When Elvis pump-faked, you could feel the air leave the stadium as everyone gasped... passing? PASSING? on Fourth Down!? Fourth and 1??? and then Desmond's dive and tuck... wow. I remember how absolutely crazy the stands went. Great Game!
