This has always been one of my favorite 80s songs. It's so haunting. It's one of those classic songs about longing, and regret, and how you can't go back...yet remains somehow uplifting and hopeful. Time marches on and we can't go back and relive our pasts, even though we sometimes try. And things always seem sweeter when looked back at through the haze of time. I graduated high school in West Virginia in 1983, and this song takes me back to those days. Just pure gold. Love it.

I bought this album/cassette (shows my age) while in college. It was a staple in my cassette deck. 22 years later...what ever happened to that cassette? Aimee should have been tapped to write and perform the theme for the movie "Quantum of Solace" The song they've got is total crap. Aimee would have written a more reflective love song...which is what the title "Quantum of Solace" suggests.
