About this song I watched a 4 hour documentary on Petty the other day and they said that Dave Stewart from The Eurythmics came in with it and it was intended for Stevie Nicks to sing. I think he only had the line "don't come around here no more" written and Petty must have filled in the rest, so it's probably meaningless to him.

The great thing about the vid is that it's so minimalist, but has a massive impact. The set is pretty much like anything you'd see in that era, but the wardrobe and the way it shot make it so much more.
