Great quality, live and UP FRONT. Feist rocks out and moves to the front of the stage at 2:19. This was last year at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor. The Dudes with the tamborines and shakers are from the band Paso Mino. They opened for Leslie. The song is also featured on her new album ~The Reminder~ and was originally a song by singer/songwriter Nina Simone. My favourite part is her solo, so wait for it.... enjoy :)

Actually Sea Lion Woman is a folk song Feist heard before she knew about Nina Simone's version.
Its from sometime in the early 1900's

Holy Lord, she f'in rocks. On another note, I once heard of an Irish myth about the Selkie. Some say this is also where the myth of the mermaid came from. The Selkie was a being who was a sea lion in the water yet human on land. She had a magic veil which if it was possessed, she would forget her sea existence. Men would try to possess her, but the pull of the sea was so great, she would always return. I wonder if this is what the song is about.
