I'm pretty sure the entire picture compilation is not intended to fit some grand scheme of the music's complexion. The context is not incoherant, but seems rather scattered in the middle and end because the person was trying to fill the video with many photos, mostly beautiful ones. Yeah jet planes and bicycles don't seem in the cards for this piece, but let's see you make a better video.

Isn't that what's so great about Youtube? The raw nature and amateur attempts at synching up still photos to a beautiful song is marvelous. The man has almost 43,000 views, and you're going to point out the flaws of this video?
If anything he deserves more credit than most for not making a completely meaningless, crude video on this network. Some ppl are actually trying to use this tool for creativity and good instead of fart jokes and sex. Kudos Ian! Keep making more videos!
