Personal favorite of mine, this is a Wonderful Astaire "Ceiling" Dance Number by means of a literally revolving set on the 1951 MGM Classic Film 'Royal Wedding'.

Word. Heck I'm in my early 20s and I respect and appreciate the skill and talent of past innovators like Astaire, Kelly, Brown, etc. The stuff they did was by no means easy. On another note .... I've been trying to find that coat hanger dance by Fred. Anyone know where I can find it?

yeah I totally agree! I never EVER watched black and white movies but when I took at theatre/film appreciation class, I fell in love with all the classics! they are amazing! I wish they would make movies like that again :( I miss them but there is enough from the past to last me a life time! I love them! kelly, astaire, cary grant! love em all!

This is back when CGI didn't exist, so what they're doing is without anything that would need to be edited out (like a harness).
That is what makes it doubly impressive.

Yeah, to actually devise a way to make the room spin was extrordinarily creative, I believe some of that creative talent has disappeared with so much new technology which is quite sad. :(
