I think her view of this occurring in America is somewhat shortsighted. I think this kind of action has been happening since at least the 1950's. The Red Scare, The Hippies, Central American communists. I think the plans have been laid for years. I say this because the conspiracy theorists have been echoing this line for years. Now it is becoming reality.

her argument is extremely thin. For example, she compares people buring Dixie Chicks CDs to Goebbels burning books in Germany. HUH??? These people were protesting of their own accord -- activity in no way sanctioned or encouraged by the US government. For her to compare this to a dictatorship sanctioning the ban on reading material throughout an entire country isn't even reaching--its irresponsible.
She should really stick to writing about makeup.

It does not matter if it is "kinda thin" what should concern you is that the initial pieces are in place already.
Look at the patriot act.
Do you realize that if a state of martial law is declared that you can use basic human rights as detialed in the international bill of human rights?
What is irresponsible is to remain skeptical instead of investigating the claims.
Of course that takes time and effort, maybe your right, why worry right?

If you have a war against an unnamed enemy, "war on terror" than, you by default, expand the manner in which the enemy can be defined, therefore, we have a situation where domestic terrorists are just regular citizens, there is no way to determine who is a terrorist or civilian.

America is not over its just that we've had crappy leadership for like 8 yrs so of course america is messed up. Actually that is true. I have heard countless number of people from the former Soviet Bloc who say that Obama talks just like the old communist leaders . His cadence.. his platitudes and the few specifics he brings up.

Wrong, this has been happening for much longer than that. We have had fascists in the White House since the coup d' taut of Kennedy in '63. Nixon, Agnew, Ford, Johnson, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush. The only one who was semi-independant and honest was Carter. They punished him for his honesty though and turned their backs on him many times. Just like the Iran hostage deal. Bush Sr. set it up so the hostages wouldn't be released until Reagan was in office. The minute he was in, they were released.

I don't think either candidate is a good decision unfortunately. If you are looking for Obama look at who is behind him. investigate ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI. Look at what he has done in the past and you can kinda figure out what Obama will do in the future. SAD I KNOW!
