It was said that he was fired because the site he reviews for, Gamespot, had Kane and Lynch advertisements and endorsments plastered all over the site, and Jeff reviewed the game bashing it and basically just calling it a bad game, but he was generally right, it was a good review, and thats a bad game.

They probably fired him because he was exactly right. This game was so horrible yet it still sold over 1 million copies. I had buyer's remorse the second I finished that sloppy bank robbery mission and felt bad about sluaghtering 200 police and swat guys. And then you just hop on a plane to Tokyo like that? I don't think so. Aiming was horrible and the ending was just plain miserable and depressing.

Also, anyone who played Hitman Blood Money will probably recognize a good portion of guns that were just ported from BM to Kane and Lynch, like we wouldn't notice. That's pretty cheap. Multiplayer is worthless. The only levels I liked were the nightclub and retomoto tower. The Havana missions made me want to put an ax into the cd. Ok I'm done

i'm glad gamespot implemented SOME kind of quality standards for their reviews. i'd be pissed too if i was working on a game for 5 years millions invested and its pretty damn good and then this bored wannabe who wants to be controversial for whatever reason abuses his power of swaying the market. review was absolutely horrible.

Hes exactly right. Story's decent, a little to Quentin Terentino wannabe, but the gameplay and ai sucks. The multiplayer idea is BRILLIANT, but ruined by bad gameplay.

I actually disagree with the guy below me, the story sucks ass. It's just mean. It's basically like they're saying "oh yeah this is hilarious" (this is just an example) "your partner goes and kills everybody in the bank because he's off his meds". in this game, you're terrible people, you're a guy who's broken out of jail, and you're killing innocent cops who are doing their jobs...it's just mean..what, they're gonna make Grandma Puncher as their sequel?

Jeff sucks at playing games, and saying the cover mechanic doesn't work shows how retarded he is. If you walk up to a wall, facing any direction, your guy will automatically use it as cover. I've never seen Lynch die, as he claims. I've never seen the AI get stuck or run in circles either. Saying the shooting is inaccurate is part of a thing called "realism" where your mp5 can't shoot the same spot 30 times in a row; this mechanic is why Counter-Strike is such a great game.

I think it's pretty lame that he got firing for giving an honest review, but it technically wasn't that honest. He was sort of laying it on thick how crappy the game was. And in reality... it wasn't "that" bad. It wasn't as good as say... Freedom Fighters... but it is far worse than some other games I've played before.
game gets 7.5/10 from me.
