they make their own material, and they used Ableton Live 2007 to mix the music, they acsessed it throught the pyramid, and had 8 laptops that acted as video inputs fot the pyramid.

from what i understand daft punk play a slew of intruments: electric bass, key board, piano, 6-7 and 12 string guitars, and i believe synths. however they use the keyboard and bass for most of their work live which is what u see here. they just pre-record the things that are on horn, guitar, etc. they still play the bass and keyboard live i think. they just use computers to replicate everything else. u try to play 9 instruments with 2 guys on a neon pyramid and sound THIS fucking brilliant.
