What do you expect this is a really old game! Who cares about the graphics! The game play is SO fun especially when you are running away from your mate who is a big GIANT online :P

I don't care about the dated graphics...what I care about is that they are so scrambled that gameplay is all but impossible. I cannot make heads or tails of anything...parts of the screen disappear and then reappear...everything has weird protuberances that literally make it look like a pile of twigs on the screen.

Ever tried to install patch 1.4 and updating the drivers of your chipset and graphics card? Do other games work just fine or do you have that problem with all games? Maybe your "new" graphics card is unable to handle an old game like Giants, but maybe it can.

Graphics are overrated, the majority of the greatest games ever made in the history of gaming are on old consoles. Zelda Ocarina of time, Final Fantasy VII, I haven't played this game but if it comes close to those games then people who keep posting about graphics need to shut the fuck up. No ps3,xbox360,wii game can even compare to the story line in final fantasy 7 or zelda ocarina of time. So shove your graphics up your ass ppl.

Now now, no reason to be rude.
But it's true what you say there. The reason why they can't make a good story along with good graphics is because good graphics cost a shitload of money, and the gamedevelopers can only get that kind of money from big companies like Eletronic Arts. We all know EA doesn't give the gamedevers much
time to finish their product. So the main reason is because it is less doable to make a game on your own than it was in the early days. Originality is scarce.

Yeah, but it's even better to think about why they do that and how this can be solved. Take Valve for instance, which is independant because they had their own fundings. They sure do make great games and even their platform Steam is doing well and getting more games to be distributed through their platform. Yay to them! If only there were more companies like them, no? But for other kinds of games, not especially just first person shooters ...

Man, I remember buying that game and trying to play it with my GeForce MX 440, LOL. Great fucking game. My disc 1 got a CRC checksum error when I tried to install it a while ago. I need to find where to download. Lovely game and gorgeous graphics even for being so dated.

AWESOME game - A new scene release is floating around as a torrent atm (It can be grabbed off blackcats-games but only 2 registrations are freed every 15 mins so you need to be fast) Currently gamespy is the only solution for playing? I played alot of this a few years back but it was sad that very few people bothered with it, the multiplayer is so fun :(
