Because all I can think of is Brian Molko's droning voice lacking anything with a tune that sounds like it should be played at a funeral and completely tearing apart the song.
It doesn't compare to Kate's passionate, heart-felt performance and fantastic music video, the lyrics SHE wrote with the tune SHE made. Placebo's isn't worth anything, and that is like blasphemy to say it's better.

Kate is an amazing artist. Her songs pack so much emotion and she doesn't even show herself singing in most of her videos. I like the tempo of the Placebo version but the song isn't as good. I wasn't feeling it, except for the remnants of Kate's song, still with me when I heard it. Huge talent!
