Video done by myself from images from the documentary-film "France Gall by France Gall" (2001) and archives (scopitone). At this time (not so long ago), there were not so many France Gall's videos on the net, so I did with what I had.
"Sacré Charlemagne" is undoubtedly the most famous and popular France Gall's song throughout the world. So I finished my video with a series of photographs (from her beginnings to 2007) on the words she said in concluding her self-portrait "France Gall by France Gall" in 2001. Montage réalisé
par mes soins à partir d'images extraites du film-documentaire "France Gall par France Gall" (2001) et d'archives (scopitone). A l'époque (il n'y a pourtant pas si longtemps), il n'y avait pas tant de vidéos de France Gall sur le net, j'ai donc fait avec ce que j'avais. "Sacré Charlemagne" es
t sans doute le titre de France Gall le plus célebre et populaire à travers le monde. C'est pourquoi j'ai terminé mon montage par une série de photos (de ses débuts à 2007) sur les jolis mots qu'elle a tenus pour conclure son auto-portrait "France Gall par France Gall" en 2001.

Charlemagne was illiterate...by keeping Islam at bay...he aided in keeping Most of Europe in the dark ages for several centuries to come. But oh well he is a European Hero so we can't criticize!

I believe you're correct about the illiteracy however he sought knowledge & 2 share it. I'm the direct descendant of Louis The Fair his son &Louis' wife Ermengarde. Charl. did at times slaughter many as rulers often do, however he achieved victory at times without bloodshed. He was much admired in his lifetime &emulated by Barbarossa &Barb.'s son too. I think Islam colors your perception. Charl. unified his empire. He did what he thought was right,&no ruler is perfect, so hindsight is 20/20.

Thanks for commenting. The song at the end is "Tout pour la musique" written by Michel Berger for France Gall (1981). It's one of her greatest hits. It's available on many CDs or you can legally download it on many music websites. Glad you liked it!
