Actually that's a great film, they said he was breathing really hard then. Its to bad he didn't work on losing the weight during the seventies, he could have been around another 20 years. Oh well.

He smoked big cigars too. And independent filmmaking is a very stressful, never ending job (considering the trouble he went through post-1965 I'd say he had it in spades). Welles had many other problems other than weight that contributed to his heart failure.

No. I said that many stressful factors which did include weight and age (he lived until 70) contributed to his death. Yes, he was overweight but that alone didn't kill him. The man fought hard for every project he directed for almost 45 years.

Think about what he could have done if he wasn't so big... I think he was rejected for many things in the 60's and 70's especially for TV, because he didn't control his weight. He had a lovely wife, I don't think that he cared frankly what others thought. Which was fine, but its just a shame he didn't even try and lose it.

Spielberg does it for money. He made that film about jews suffering to get all the awards and get all the people go and see it, so he got another few million bucks on his paycheck. Orson could've do it in his time, but he rather chose to make art...

Well thank you for your rays of abysmal wisdom. I'm just glad I've gotten to know and make a lot of friends in the UK over that last decade. I mean they poke and jab about America, but the same can be done for any country really. I'll leave you to your hostility as you seem to revel stewing in it.
