I came thru the Punk/Post Punk era when all that blues playin' was considered 'old', inapropriate and sadly derivative of another American culture. We were tryin' to find our own 'voice' and guitar styles beyond the blues. Check out PIL's Keith Levene & Magazines John McGeogh.
You clearly need to broaden your perspective. We had a political angle on guitar playing.

I actually saved money by buying a Marshall amp with contour (basically an external TBX-style mid-range circuit)... gets the same scooped-mid sound that his pickups have.
Of course, it's not a Dumble or a Two-Rock or anything... but for a 30 watt valvestate, the only other combo I use is a Twin.

lol you know thats true....but you can some how think that punk is somewhat blues. They both have a message to it. Maybe not the same feeling, but both had something to declare. Blues is more of feelings inside, and Punk is something more broad and ,arguably, more important. Blues comes in all shapes and forms, as long as your expressing your feelings, your playing the blues. And sorry about the guy who cursed, sometimes we overuse stupid lenguage.
