well what to say, it's differen HF, if i can judge by one song...
everything is good, but one BIG mistake, refreain is lost in song, i can say there's no catchy refrain, and thats no more Human Fortress we loved (i still do :) )

Defenders of the Crown is one of the greatest metal albums of all time.
I was nervous about the new singer since I never liked Galloglass but this song rocks. It's not on par with the first ten songs of Defenders but nothing is :p.
I guess the band hung up their chain mail to look cool for the video :(
God I can't wait for the album to come to the states.

First ten? All songs from DOTC rokc as hard as fuck and LOEAHH also ! Both albums are made to be one of best metal albums of all time but Human Fortress doesn't have luck with popularity . :(

I say first ten because Sacral Fire always seemed a bit out of place to me. It's not a bad song but compared to the perfection of the rest of the album the song is average to me.
Don't get me wrong DoTC is a masterpiece and Human Fortress rocks.

yeah it seems like the refrain is out of place like the rythm is slower than singing but everytime refrain goes it's the same way so it's not mistake but they wanted it to sound like that so it's also masterpiece like every other song HF ever writed . :D

Well... it's just not the Human Fortress I fell madly in love with. The symphonic tunes, catchy chours and epic feel is gone. Guess it's to be expected when they replace both drummer and singer tho.
However, they still have a great sound, and I'm still a fan. I think that most of the 'disappointment' i feel is linked to the name. I expected to hear something completely diffrent stream from my speakers when I clicked on a HF song. I'm still gonna buy the new CD tho.

I don't like new HF . It's too death metal and much less symphonyc than old HF which made two albums which were one of best metal albums ever !

I've got no prob with death metal, but I hate it when a band gets well known and "famous" by a great sound like the one they had with Jioti and replace it with this music, which IMO is not bad, but it's just not Human Fortress. I'm ok with evolution if and only if their music has become stale, but personally HF style was very far from been stale, plus I think that Carsten could have done a better job, his vocals in Galloglass were great, I thought he would rock in HF, cause Galloglass was alike.

I mean that Galloglass' power metal was sorta like Human Fortress epic power metal, so I thought Carsten was gonna be great in here, but unfortunately he put those metalcore vocals in a band that does not need that.
