personally, I enjoy both LP and Deftones, but if I had to choose, I'd go with Deftones. Their sound in general is better (personally, here) than LP, and Chino has a much better voice than Chester.
Although, neither of them have anything on SOAD!

Deftones are more experimental and original than LP and they're older so they've had time to mature and cultivate their sound. And saying Linkin Park sucks----if it's not saying Deftones suck it's saying Deftones don't know music, they formed LP.
And System Of A Down rocks too, I hate comparing bands that I all love.
