I'm with a lot of people on this: it's sad that only one of the original four members (don't forget Jill, Mackenzie, and Spanky but they don't count.) of this group is still living. I love classic rock and old heavy metal but I love the Mamas and the Papas. Their music was so melodic and their voices blended into one so beautifully and that's wh people still listen to their music.

I disagree. Cass' voice was amazing--strong and ranged. And it's very true that Cass made that group what it was. But I agree with the man who says that Denny's voice was the best; if you listen to tunes like "Dancing Bear" and "Monday Monday," his voice has so much emotion. Cass was a belter and (I say this respectfully) mostly mainstream. Even when she was singing ballads, there was a "loud" quality to her that took away from the emotion of the song. But she was very talented, no doubt.
