If he gets "in", it won't make a difference what he thinks on that issue, he's not Congress. What will make a difference is when American people WTFU and realize that Mike Gravel is running for President so they can vote for the National Initiative, his proposal which will become law if 60 million plus registered voters vote online for it. Then YOU can make (like legalizing drugs and ending the war on drugs) and REPEAL laws (like making marijuana illegal) just LIKE CONGRESS DOES.

would you want to live in denmark? the impression i get is it's a great place to vaction in, but a 60% tax rate isn't something i'd want. At any rate, if the people of denmark want it, thats great for them if it works. American socialists, like biafra, want to force others to live under a socialist tax system. Most of the people in Denmark only pay about a 38% tax rate which is compareable to the middle class tax rate in the United States when you add in State and Local Taxes. Do some research on Denmark, seriously. They have kindergarten-Ph.D. free education (if you're smart enough) and free healthcare, they'll even fly you into europe if they can't do the surgery or something in Denmark.

When you have a child you get 1 year (woman) / 6 months (man) of paid maternity/paternity leave.
Unemployment insurance. Reeducation and retraining programs to make sure people can get jobs and be good at them.
They power 20% of their country with wind turbines and they store the energy by pumping the water back up a dam for when the wind doesn't blow.

I am an advocate, and a caregiver to a medical marajuana patient, I do not smoke it,, BUT,, This country use to REQUIRE patriots to 'Grow Hemp For Victory' as recently as WWII, thats the 40's !!
The fact is that they criminalized hemp during the depression ( the 30's ) to get rid of migrant workers and gegerate jobs for out of work Americans. That has NOTHING to do with the 'drug' they call it now.
