She reminds me of Aretha Franklin. This may seem prejudiced, but I swear it's meant in a good way....it just seems that jazz and soul are best when there's a big, black lady at the microphone. They should change the hairspray song "Big, Blonde and Beautiful" and change it to "Big, Black and Beautiful" and it should become Latifah's anthem :D *cringe* I can see people looking at this and going "*gasp* he said BLACK!!!"

Well I am a guy too - and they don't come much whiter than me! I am almost transparent and live way down in Australia - but the issue she sings of touches me profoundly and gave me goosbumps. Kudos to QL for this performance! Let's hope for a day when songs like this don't need to be written for political reasons, but purely for artistic ones!
