the true test of a truck is how long it lasts under hard service...not trying to drown it or smash it into pieces. It was destroyed, no doubt about it, but of course it could still run. DRIVE the HELL out of it and then tell me its a good truck after the engine and trans are fubar. Not saying they weren't tough lil trucks, just not the way to go about proving it.

Several buyers have complained about the troublesome trasmission so much to the point "Consumer Reports" have turned up their nose at Toyota now. The same Tundra has tail gate problems to the point where they just fall off.
