The one who is completely disgusting is you, because you are equaling a film with its subject and saying that neglecting or despising a film about the holocaust is the same as neglecting or not caring for the holocaust. Godard's argument against Spielberg was because of his caring (that's what he claimed) for the the holocaust. First think, then bullshit. How can you watch such an emotionally manipulative film, made by the richest director in the world in 1993, and then claim to have any sort of understanding of the Holocaust? Watch Resnais' 'Hiroshima mon amour'. A French woman tells a Japanese man that she has seen the horrors of the atomic bomb because she went to the hospital where the victims were. She says, "I've seen everything". The man replies, "You've seen nothing". Spielberg makes us forget that we can't even begin to understand.
