great job of providing information on what is going on in other parts of the world... we can't get a lot of intl news on CNN, FOX, ABC, CBS, or NBC/MSNBC.

when al jazeera first began, it was fantastic but afterwards unfortunately it became pro US, I wonder if it was a plan from the beginning to get the Muslims following your news then to hit them with the Pro Western propaganda

Al Jazeera is the CNN of the middel east, not better not worse!Yea, right its better than American FOX News or Iranian Press TV, but independet is something else. If you want independet news, watch Euro News or BBC, but the best news source , as its convering all sides

2 b honest except for maybe Cspan and aljazeera, i dont trust any other news channels b it b CNN,BBC,SKY,FOX,MSNBC--neither do i trust arab news channels either such as saudi state TV, egyptian state TV---in da CNN etc case, they reflect a very slanted and biased news angle especially FOX and i suspect becuz their owners and CEO's r 2 close to govt. officials---and da arab channels u know y---only al jazeera or Cspan can give u an alternate voice and then u can make up ur mind as of which

Hm. I'm not a big fan of this. I feel as if Al Jazeera tries a bit too hard to get on the people's good side.
On the other hand, I do believe it's actually more neutral than (especially) FOX, and other american news channels.
I'd personally steer clear of this type of thing though, because I don't believe Al Jazeera is actually going to use over 3000 opinions. I feel it's more of a propoganda move.
If you ask me what america needs, though, it would be a fair news channel.

I believe, when you see or hear of something that is slanted, then it is your duty to point it out. We need to learn from the past, and prepare ourselves to not always be objective, but to point out the faults or evils of a certain way of thinking. I know there is still journalistic integrity, and that is in...putting your job on the line for what is right!
