Ginn might have been faster but he's nowhere near as polished as Desean Jackson is coming out of college. It's pretty obvious that Ginn didn't start really getting comfortable w/ the WR position until his junior year because he didn't start playing it until he got to college. Desean is a very polished receiver and coming out of Cal's pro-style offense understands coverages, runs better routes, and has better hands then Ted Ginn when he came out.

5-10 around 178 now, i hope he can get to atleast 180 and keep it although the year. and keeping adding weight until it effects his speed/quickness. ill be honest, i didnt want him at first because of his speed. but he had basically no injury of his size in college, and he NFL is different, but his rookie season all he will be expect to do is PR, and a few bombs on offense. working with Rice im sure helped him greatly. in his second year he can challenge for a starter spot once he...

Desean is more explosive, agile than Ginn. Ginn might run faster 80 yards, but both are 4.3 players so it really isnt a difference. Ginn is a long strider that picks up speed as he goes, not great acceleration. Thats why you wont see him take many short routes to the house in the NFL, more deep routes and post routes.

obviously he has epic speed, and by the time he gets to the nfl he is going to have the best hands and route running you can expect from a rookie; he has been training personally with Jerry Rice... if someone is going to make a run at Randy Moss' Rookie Touchdown record (17) and later down the road out of this years and the next couple of years if someone will make a run at moss' new record (23) it would probly have to be him
