Great ... ( 1 year ago by jcasbell)
Great interpretation, but it mainly felt classical. Be sure to keep some of the jazzy feel in there, too, like Gershwin intended. Also, you may have used too much pedal. Or it could have been the audio quality, I don't know. Overall, wonderful.

You didn't do the end? I was really disappointed that you omitted the fast part where both hands switched on and off a single note. Well, anyway, good job on performing both the orchestral and piano parts! You should really try it out with an orchestra =D

Oh godddd...nothing but botching from A-Z - so many grammatical mistakes... and to hide/cover this you're abusing pedals horribly! Exercise!Exercise!Exercise! Talent??? Where?! Listen to prof. versions! Can absolutely not comprehend the other comments!?! Freaks? Your friends? Sorry!

You hit every write ... ( 1 year ago by TheAngelOfMusic1)
You hit every write note. However, you rush the tempo at some parts. Also, lay off the petals. Finally, do some experimentation to optimize your audio quality. If it means setting up your camera right next to you showing only your fingers, so be it.

Hi. I have just recently released my recording on here of Rhapsody in Blue. I am self taught so probably have a few bad habits. Everyone has a different personality on it this one hey?! And what a dickens of a piece, I might need to re-record mine when I had to edit out a telephone call during part 2... Anyhow keep the practice up and great work

i have never attempted this piece but it sounds very well done, the ped is good but sometimes a piece doesnt need a buildup, the theme sometimes just need to be by its self to sound good. i dont know this piece in and out but i think im going to try this one next but im now a fan of yours bravo!

Good work! How old are you? How long have you been playing? I can see what you want to do, and in many ways, you are getting it.
For what its worth: ... ( 1 year ago by GypsyPianist)
For what its worth: Now, get the whole thing at a slow speed (that you can manage every note without making a mistake from start to finish) with the metronome. Then you will understand the rhythm completely (you might be surprised how much working out this will take even though you can play the whole thing - been there).
Even though there ... ( 1 year ago by GypsyPianist)
Even though there are parts you can pull around once you have mastered what has been written, they will make more sense if your foundation is what is actually on the page. In other words, you will feel the same when you play rubato, but it will sound much clearer to the audience.
You might find that ... ( 1 year ago by GypsyPianist)
You might find that the only speed you can do like that is REALLY slow. Don't worry about a thing. You are setting for yourself a fine foundation not only for this piece, but also the way you practice other pieces (and the technique you will have aquired through practicing this piece).
I don't know how ... ( 1 year ago by GypsyPianist)
I don't know how much practice you do a day, but this piece could take up to a week to practice (if you are working on other pieces too) and gradually build up speed until one is ready to express pure passion with mastery of control. It might take less time depending on how much you practice. I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you want to know more about technique, fingering etc.
