The great Buddy Holly performs Peggy Sue on an original Coral 45. It's one of the most perfect pieces of Rock 'n' Roll ever placed on plastic.
NOTE: Listen closely after the record stops--you'll hear crickets. I shot this in my basement in the summer. Buddy Holly and The Crickets, literally! --Capn

16 years old, and sucked into this world of great music. Since I was 15 I started to listen to older and older music. Now at age of 17, I have reached the point, when I have came to this.(It probably would have been much sooner, but Beatles, doors, and pink floy took their time) I really enjoy these songs, because unlike most of todays records they really captured soul of performer.

This song was ... ( 3 weeks ago by Mowac)
This song was originally called,'Cindy Lou'. The 'echo effect' they used on this song was an attic at Norman Petty Studios that was covered in bathroom tiles supplied by Buddy's father who was in the tile buisiness. They put speakers in the attic, miked them and ran that back to the recording studio. Norman Petty would then turn the mikes in the attic on and off (via a flip switch) along with the tempo to Jerry Allison's drums.
