A HEALTHY Bill Walton could run rings around Shaq. Compare what Walton did in college to what Shaq did. Walton was one of the best centers EVER!

ya you can. back then the NBA featured centers that were on average 6'7". He had great teammates his whole career like cousy havlicek. Not to mention Good teammates like Jo Jo white Sam Jones Satch Sanders. Bill Russell was great no doubt. On top of all that, there were only like 12 teams back then.

So it appears then that "Russell's days" are subjective? You might wanna try being more specific next time. He played from 1956-1969. I forgot that Smith and Christian competed against Wilt and not Russell. The rest are right. When Russell first joined the league, there were 8 teams. By the time he retired, there were 14. In both cases it would make the percentage of very talented players much higher. You may as well have said that Russell's competition were all just 5 foot tall white guys.
