amores perros is a very good film, I haven ´t seen babel yet, but I think amores perros is as good as babel, maybe even better. It´s definately worth watching this movie. Enjoy it.

In the commentary tracks for this film, Inarritu says that people accused him of imitating Tarantino's Pulp Fiction for using non-linear mixed narratives. But he says that such story-telling is not new and that William Faulkner's experimental writing inspired the story's telling mroe than any film.
