Not bad, of course they weren't able to do it over and over, like in the movie. In the movie they do overall have better singing, but they probably record in a studio for the movie. The stage performance, they have to sing while dancing, and can't record anything, or do anything over.

well if i am right this is the original cast from 88 so the fact they can do this at all is incredible and that is how ricki sounded for the original movie which always made me laugh. ricki actually doesn't sound like that tho, you can hear her on the sound track for the new movie for the song mama i'm a big girl now.

and for everyone saying that tracy sounded like crap - from what i heard, she was sick tonight, but she still went on and performed her damn heart out. and not to mention they're dancing whilst doing this - you cant compare a movie version where they record the song seperately from filming to a live stage performance. its just impossible

I'm also in a showchoir and can dance and sing together with no problem, but it is physically impossible to jump like these people are and sustain a note without making it quaver or going off pitch.

THANK YOU. People slam the live performances of Broadway shows a lot, mostly when there is a lot of dancing involved. IT IS HARD to dance and jump so much and still sing as well as they do. Which is pretty much repeating what you just said. XD
