A police report is "hearsay" in court and rarely can an officer read from his report in court. Audio and video convicts, not reports. Solid arrests get convictions as well. I have problems with over zealous cops who arrest and stack charges, etc. As for team player, I arrested 2 of my team mates and they copt a deal and resigned.
