well, obviously this is kinder, but if you're not worried about kindness, then using a guy dressed as a baboon is more effective. biologically, when they see the area inhabitated by a large (and strange) dominant monkey, they will leave, as stated by the dude himself. if they won't pick a fight with him, they've got no choice but to leave. it's how they interact in the natural world.
