I was confused too when I read the liner notes about the 6-string bass, because as I understand it Paul Simon didn't play bass on it at all. Bakithi Kumalo (that's how he spells his name now) played all the bass tracks on the song, including the solo. The bassist on this tour was Armand Sabal-Lecco.
