it will pick up HDchannels that are being broadcast in the area. It wont pick up those same channels when you leave the area. Although if you gooogle "online tv"or "internet tv"or something like that you can find literally hundreds of steaming TV channels from every country pretty much,!! BTW with this device you dont need net access. PEACE

so if you live out in a rural area like a farm, this thing wouldnt do you any good because there probably arent any hd channels being broadcast around there?
