adore these two,my second favorite pair of lovers in all literature,but perhaps I should start looking for another movie! I wish there was such an excellent version of Wuthering Heights to make these out of.This is the original of this song,by Joan Baez,or at least,the one that'held court'the longest; my favorite,as I grew up with it,and do not care for Charlotte Church.Thanks for watching

Thanks for the tip,i've been looking many years for another good version of this haunting little ballad! When I was a kid this song used to just take my breath away. I hope I can find the one you speak of.

actually, this song is a late 18th century French aria about the grief of lost love... so idk if the song actually fits the story line you're trying to make here. As for the singer.... i much more recommend Janet Baker.
