This rhythm section is beyond unbelievable!Did you ever hear anything like quite like this?Gus Johnson's drumming is unique.I saw him live and was stunned.Lovely man also.Imagine that for a handful of dollars in the 50's,you could spend an evening in the company of this kind of gigantic musical talent. Its hard to even begin to imagine today.Superb! The Clarinet is 'THE' swing instrument.Listen to Heinie Beau,Peanuts Hucko,Bob Wilber,Irving Fazola,Johnny Mince.Sounds like jazz to me!

wow this really ... ( 1 month ago by flipflopszx78)
wow this really moved me. the scale of the song was amazing. the music is so pure running through my ears, like the first rainfall in may. thank you god for making music that touches me the way this did. the rhythmic patterns, and synthetics in this song were completely grand. Count Basie will go down in history with the greats such as Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and Dizzy Gilepsie. The 50's were a fantasmic time of music. i will listen to him for years to come.
