What does money and representing have to do with each other?
Group A gives you money.
Group B doesn't.
You represent group A.
Why not represnet both groups?
Just because group B can't pay you your not going to represent them in government?
I thought lobbyist used words and data to try to swing opinions not cold hard wads of cash. Corperations often give away large amounts of money for no reason right? At least get a nascar pant suit so we can see your sponsers.

We need to get it ALL paid for by the FCC. They should be required by law to give free time, at intervals the year before any national election, and that would BE IT! The candidates would simply stand up and state their individual positions on the issues clearly and succinctly without parsing. No commercials (by law), no polls(by law). Bahahaha! Yeah, lobbying IS a fundamentally essential thing; it allows for people to interact with the legislators. But why the hell do we think it's okay for lobbyists to give huge-ass contributions? That changes the game entirely, from advocacy of positions to manipulation of the political system. Not to mention careers.
