That's why Hurst did a big smeal campaign against Hemp - he had too many forest reserves to allow that kind of competition in the manufacture of paper for his newspaper empire. I can't believe these morons, he could have been growing hemp and preserving his trees.

I worked construction for so long, I'm at a toss. what's the alternative? mud huts? The earth would absolutely beifit without man, and man befits off the earth... nothing last for ever, but others do follow- children (in mud huts,lol)

check out all the vids on cobb construction tommy. mud huts- what a genius idea! because the technique is easy to learn, easy to do and the construction costs, lol!-- the primary resource is right underfoot, free and renewable. cobb is even in use in urban settings to create public structures, pleasant hangouts, ampitheatres and so on, that encourage people to leave their isolation and interract in good spaces with their communities. look into it, would like feedback-what u think

Straw bale construction is one alternative. About one tenth the cost per square foot. Just now finding out hemp houses are being built in France. Architect there has learned how to mix part of hemp plant with lime to make concrete, much lighter and stronger. Can send link to video on this if you like.
