US is not interested in helping Dalai nor buddhism, they are far more interested in breaking up china like the former USSR, so Dalai is only a puppet for the western politicans. I don't buy the feudal system characterization. it sucks to be poor no matter where you are, but does poverty in 1950 tibet compare to 12th century europe exactly? and he gives reasons that are also true for me today: if i buy a cow or sheep today and here in the west i pay a tax, when i get a marriage license i pay a tax, i'm taxed all day long, and by some measures heavily. does that mean that i live under feudalism here in the west too?
