personally i get the impression that right wing whatever don't actually see war (killing "the enemy") and poverty (other peoples) as a sin. while they percieve abortion and gays as being morally wrong. while anyone who is Correct in their cognitive process can quite effortlessly see that the opposite is fundamentally true.

As far as the big wigs in power you may be right. For me though, my family is right wing and we've gone to Germany twice, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Kuwait/Iraq #1, Afghanistan, and Iraq this second time. That side of my family got to the US in 1902. The other side im not too sure of but I know that one of my ancestors on that side fought in the American Revolutionary War. I personally havent seen war, between backbone and heart conditions not likely I will

they're wedge issues. Karl Rove realized 4 years ago, that if you put a gay marriage or abortion issue on the ballot, the conservative movement will come out against it, and will end up voting for the conservative candidate; people who may not have voted at all. These are, consequently, the only political issues they care about.

1) I can't speak for Jesus. 2) It might be that people (not just the Republican Christians) focus more on abortion/homosexuality over war/poverty because the issues' span of existence as a widespread ideological topic.

the second question is easy, it's because the right wing christians are responsible for war and poverty around the world, and they don't really like to talk about how they fcuked up.
as for gays, they need someone to be a scapegoat, why not the pansyman who is incapable of defending himself because he's a fruit?

1) Thats why you must read the New Testament! =D I'm not Christian, but it does help to be enlightened to others beliefs. 2) It may be ideological, but they did start the fire, so it must be assumed that they shirk their own responsibility when it comes to fixing the problem.
