I mean it was Selena's family who picked J.Lo, it was their daughter, and I thought J.Lo put a lot of respect and love in her performance. Plust, how would you find another Tejana with a body like Selenas, she was unique.

And she didn't need to be "texan" to fit the role she could have been from any part of usa, the ppl just wanted a girl from mexican ascendancy. Also I think your are mixing those words: Texan and Boricua are not the same, texan means she's from Texas (a state) and boricua from puerto Rico (a coun

I said Tejana, not Texan -- Tejanos see themselves as American and connected to Mexicans, but superior (in some ways) -- they are very proud of their American Ancestory. Remember Tejanos fought against Mexico! I agree with you, I'm just pointing out that Selenas family chose J.Lo and Selenas Husb
